The 3 Rivers District encompasses 70 towns across Hudson and Bergen counties. We are the largest district in the Northern New Jersey Council, spanning the eastern portion of the Council's service area from Bayonne up to Alpine.
We are comprised of approximately 85 troops, 70 packs, and 20 crews that consist of over 3,500 youth and 1,000 adult volunteers.
This is what's important: The job of the District Committee is to support all those troops, packs, and crews in the best way we know how -- we want them all to be as successful as possible.
- We'll work with any Scoutmaster or Cubmaster who can use some help.
- We'll chase down underserved parts of town and try to get a new troop or pack going there.
- We'll organize cool events that Scouts and Cubs can attend and have lots of fun at. The Scoutmaster or Cubmaster doesn't have to do anything other than put the events on his calendar and make sure the kids show up.
